Walker&Williams is a strong and growing company that has been hand built by Max and Laura Walker-Williams and their amazing team. Opening two sites between 2017-2019 in Preston the company acquired Ormskirk Magistrates Court from Homes England in late 2019 with renovation works commencing in 2020. In 2021 after the pandemic, The Hotel Chester opened its doors and has quickly become one of the most popular hotels in Chester. The Hotel Chester’ quick success has awarded us the top spot on Trip Advisor and Booking.com.
A real position of strength.
With a net (pre-tax) operating profit of circa 43% of gross turnover over the company is in a real position of strength, furthermore, all Walker&Williams properties are freehold and owned by the company.
Max Walker-Williams sources, acquires the properties and designs the apartment layouts whilst Laura Walker-Williams is in charge of all interior design for the company.
A very tight team.
The teams at Walker&Williams headed up by Ross Taylor, Operations Director and Richard Fontana, Finance Director are small and very close. Family is an integral part of the business structure with many team members having several of their own family working within the business.
Walker&Williams’ funding model is a very simple one, we work closely with a select few funders for acquisition and renovation works and then exit with two high street banks. Our loan to value is relatively low, keeping our exposure to the economy in general limited.
